Friday March 18, 1910

Bill came in at 8:30. Ma, Ray & Clara home sick. Bess and I went to Kaneenda Canoe Club lantern slides at Assembly Hall.    Blvd.

My goodness, what is everyone sick with? Even the boss is late now.   It's not 1918, too early for the influenza epidemic.....

I can't find anything about the Kaneenda Canoe Club except that it is, in fact, a club for canoeing....

I have been meaning to ask taht same question - Why is everyone always sick? (You look at the census - is there a mention of the Spanish flu or something...!)
Speaking of the census - we got ours and I was actually excited. i made sure I filled out everyhtng just right so future generations will be able to actually read the middle initial and year of birth.

Meredith when I got ours I did the same thing, wondering if in 100 years someone will care what my middle initial was. I was not into genealogy at the time of the last census and have a funny story about it but it's worth a longer post on the matter so maybe I'll tell it next week.

And I have been trying to find out what all they had back then.
